Drill today will be held at the Rolling Thunder Bike Blessing in Hambden. This mandatory event for all Young Marines and recruits.

We are honored again this year with an invitation from The Blue Knights to have our unit help with their annual Rolling Thunder Bike Blessing. The bikes are blessed before they make the trip to Washington, D.C. for Memorial Day. This is an event we have been participating in for four years as we have developed close relationships with their organization. There is a church service where the Young Marines provide a color guard and help with the lunch that is served afterwards for the attendees. As you know from the Spaghetti Dinner fundraiser, the Blue Knights are generous supporters of our unit. We believe this is one way we can demonstrate our gratitude for their commitment to us. This will also be in place of our drill so attendance is mandatory.

Pick up: 1230 at the church **Parents are encouraged to stay. Lunch provided.
Attire: Squared away uniform with proper hair cuts. Recruits need to wear their red unit shirt and khakis.
