Young Marines and parents, please read the following message our staff received from our 5th Division Young Marines Training Officer in regards to online training that is taking place in September. It is highly recommended that Young Marines in our unit participate in this online training so they can receive DDR credit. If you have any questions, please contact Ms. Schwarzwalder.

For the past few months we have been dabbling in an online webinar-based DDR series of training sessions. These classes can cover any number of topics related to Drug Demand Reduction, the effects of drugs, how units can get involved, and more.
September Training
I will be teaching next month’s course and will cover the DDR Awards, Red Ribbon Week, and a discussion on how to improve our DDR efforts within the Division. This will be held on Monday, 10 September from 1900-2030 EST.

How do I know who attended?
Following the training, I will email out to all participants the list of attendees and the amount of time the course so they can forward to their Adjutant or UC to get credit for DDR Hours.
This can be a great resource to take advantage of for those Young Marines that missed drill the month prior. You can have them attend the session and make up the time without impeding on your regular training plans.
How do we sign up to train?
We are looking for others to train on these monthly sessions, especially Young Marines. All we need is a title for the course you plan to teach and a brief description of what it will entail and we can get you on the calendar.
How do we sign up for this opportunity?
That is the beauty of it… you don’t have to. Simply log in at the time of the training and be sure to include both your name, your unit name, and your email and we will get the completion email sent to you to forward to your unit Adjutant or UC. Please note, the system does log how long you attend, so you can’t just log in then back off real quick (we will know).
