Possible Community Service Opportunity: Montville Bicentennial, Response Needed by May 22

Our unit has been asked to help out at the Montville Bicentennial Celebration on July 25. The town of Montville is located at the intersection of Routes 6 and 528 in Geauga County. Young Marines will help park cars, provide other assistance that’s needed, and we will also have a booth and sell our dog tags. It’s a great opportunity for us get exposure in the community and also serves as a fundraiser for the unit. Approximate time for the event is 9:30 am – 5:00 p.m. Attendees can either volunteer for a couple of hours or stay the whole day. Recruits will have graduated by then so they are included. Parents are asked to participate if they are available.

If transportation is an issue, we encourage you to contact another Young Marines to see if you can carpool. There are also several staff members who will help transport Young Marines to and/or from the event if needed.

We need to know how many Young Marines and/or parents are able to help with this event so the event coordinators can plan accordingly and we ask everyone to email Mrs. Dubin by Friday, May 22 and let her know whether or not you think can attend and/or if you think you’ll need a ride.
