Fall Veterans Memorial Service – October 5, 2013

The Fall Veterans Memorial Service is an event to remember all of our military men and women. This year, the event will focus on the 30th anniversary of the Beirut Bombing of the Marine Barracks on October 23, 1983. The service is approximately 1 hour long, free, and open to the public. All are welcome.

Details
  • Arrive: 11:45 a.m.
  • Ceremony begins: 12:15 p.m.
  • Location: Mentor City Hall, 8500 Civic Center Blvd.
  • Young Marines are to wear uniforms and MUST be squared away. Sleeves rolled down.
  • Recruits are welcome to attend.
  • Parents need to stay.
  • Attendance is optional. Community service hours will be awarded for any Young Marine or recruit who attends.

Immediately following the ceremony, there will be a cookout at the Marine Corps League on Twinbrook Drive for anyone who is interested.
