The West End YMCA in Willoughby has asked our unit to help out with two events on Sunday, May 1. Please review all the information below and let Mr. Pund know if your Young Marine will be able to attend one or both events.

First event: 5K/2 Mile Walk

Location: West End YMCA, 37100 Euclid Avenue, Willoughby, 44094
Time: 0730 – 1100
Duties: Young Marines will help on the course directing runners. Parents are encouraged to volunteer as well.
**All parents must sign in their Young Marines with unit staff before they leave the premises if they are not staying for the event.**
Attire: Yellow unit Tshirt and/or unit sweatshirt, jeans (no holes or tears) or shorts (shorts must be knee length). The race goes on rain or shine so please dress/plan accordingly.

Other: Post race snacks provided. All volunteers MUST stay on the course at their designated spot until race is complete. A van will take all course workers to their designated areas and then pick them up when the race is over and bring them back to the YMCA

Second event: Healthy Kids Day Track Meet Color Guard

Location: South High School, 5000 Shankland Road, Willoughby, 44094
Time: 1100 – 1300 (Drop off is at the West End YMCA)
Duties: Color Guard for opening ceremonies
Attire: Young Marines uniform, squared away with proper haircuts
